Lib Dem Sleaze Costs Taxpayers over £9,000!!! - 08/08/07

The Liberal Democrats were left embarrassed yesterday after a Councillor they put up for election only last year was dramatically booted off Lewisham Council in disgrace. A By-election to elect a replacement will now be held on September 13^th - costing  local people over £9,000.

Sera Kentman was arrested by the Police back in March for multiple serious charges and ceased to be a Councillor after failing to represent her constituents at a single council meeting for over 6 months

Local Conservatives have already picked their candidate for the election and are fielding well known local campaigner Tom Philpott.

Speaking to campaign team members after his unanimous selection by local Tories Tom said

“I have been out and about meeting local residents since the spring. I could not be prouder to have this chance to represent Whitefoot Ward. We have been ignored by Labour and now let down by the Lib Dems. I think it’s time for a councillor who will put Whitefoot first”
