Boris campaign Launched by Tannock and Wilson

Around thirty members and supporters attended a fund-raising Afternoon Tea event on Saturday 16th July to raise funds for the next year's London elections for the Mayor and Assembly.

Present were Dr Charles Tannock, one of London's three Conservative members of the European Parliament and Cllr Alex Wilson, the Greater London Asembly Candidate for Greenwich and Lewisham.

The event , organised by Grove Park Councillor and new Leader of the Conservative Group on Lewisham Council Mrs Christine Allison, was a great success, and comes just a few months after conservatives in Lewisham helped secure a 'NO' vote in the recent Alternative Vote Referendum - despite a huge Labour Campaign in Lewisham for a 'YES' vote.

Both Dr Tannock and Cllr Wilson thanked East Lewisham Conservatives for their efforts and, to applause, asked for an even greater effort in 2012 to re-elect London's Conservative Mayor Boris Johnson
